About Northend
Who we are and how we work.
What does Northend Capital do?
Northend Capital is an operator-led firm in South Florida. We buy and run service businesses, help owners scale and sell them, and act as the seller's agent for businesses that license operating data for AI training. We have bought, grown, and sold a business ourselves.
What does operator-led mean?
It means we have run a business, not just advised one. We bought a service business, grew it, and sold it. That experience shapes how we help owners and buyers.
Who do you work with?
Owners of South Florida service businesses who want to grow or sell, first-time buyers who want to buy one, lenders, brokers, and attorneys who need a clear counterpart, and AI companies that license business data.
Where do you work?
Our focus is South Florida. If you are somewhere else, send a note. We will tell you plainly if we can help.
How do I get started?
Send a short note or book a 30-minute call. Tell us what you are working on, and we will reply with plain next steps.
How fast will you reply?
We reply within two business days. You can write to info@northendcapfl.com, call or text (561) 320-7871, or use the form on the contact page.
Are you a broker, lender, law firm, or accounting firm?
No. Northend is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, law firm, or accounting firm. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or investment advice. Bring your own attorney and CPA, and we will work alongside them.
Do you promise results or prices?
No. We do not promise returns, sale prices, loan approvals, or payouts. We help you prepare, present, and decide with clear facts.
What kinds of businesses do you buy or help people buy?
Service businesses in South Florida, mostly with $1M to $10M in revenue. A service business earns money by doing work for customers: home services, field service, cleaning, pest control, landscaping, and similar trades and routes.
Do I need experience to buy a business?
No. First-time buyers are a big part of who we help. We are direct about the risks, because buying a business is a serious decision. A clear target, organized records, and good advisors matter more than prior experience.
What is SBA 7(a) financing?
SBA 7(a) is a loan program that the U.S. Small Business Administration partly guarantees. Banks and other lenders make the loans and decide who qualifies. We help you understand the process and prepare a clear, organized package. We cannot promise approval or terms.
How long does it take to buy a service business?
It varies. Many deals take several months from the first conversation to closing, because search, diligence, financing, and legal work each take time. A clear target and organized records usually speed things up.
What should I check before buying a service business?
Check the financials and add-backs, customer concentration, key employees, contracts, equipment, licenses, and why the owner is selling. We provide a practical diligence checklist and a second set of eyes. Your attorney and CPA should review the final documents.
What does it mean to scale a service business?
Scaling means growing revenue and profit without the owner doing everything. It usually comes from better lead follow-up, sound pricing, hiring and training, clear weekly numbers, and a steady operating routine.
Where should an owner start?
Start with the numbers you check each week and the one or two bottlenecks that cost the most, such as slow lead response, underpriced jobs, or hiring gaps. Fixing a few things well beats changing everything at once.
How soon will I see results?
It depends on the business. We set clear goals up front and track them. We do not promise outcomes.
How can AI help a service business?
AI can draft estimates and follow-ups, summarize calls, and clean up reports, which saves hours of busywork. A person stays in charge of decisions. We start with simple tools that fit how your team already works.
Will you take over my business?
No. We advise and build alongside you. Anything beyond that would be in a written agreement.
How do I prepare my service business for sale?
Clean up the books, document add-backs with support, fix easy operating problems, and write a clear summary of how the business runs. Buyers pay attention to clean records and to a business that does not depend on one person.
What are add-backs?
Add-backs are expenses a buyer would not have to pay, such as some owner costs or one-time items. They must be documented and supported, or buyers will not count them.
What will buyers ask to see?
Expect tax returns, financial statements, customer and contract details, employee information, equipment lists, and licenses. Details are shared in stages and under a confidentiality agreement.
How long does a sale take?
It varies by business and buyer. Plan on months, not weeks. Preparing up front often saves time later.
Will my employees and customers find out?
Outreach is confidential. We use NDAs and share details in stages, so information goes out only when it needs to.
Can you promise a price?
No. Nobody can. Price depends on the business, the buyers, and the market. We help you prepare and present the business well.
What does it mean to license business data for AI training?
A license lets a company use your data for a stated purpose, such as training or testing AI systems. You keep ownership. The written agreement sets what is covered, for how long, and what the buyer may do.
What kinds of data fit best?
Operating records from service businesses, such as email, tickets, CRM records, estimates, dispatch records, job photos, and call recordings. Only rights-cleared, de-identified data is offered.
Do you ever hold my data?
No. Northend never holds the raw data. Delivery is arranged between you and the buyer under the license.
Is the license exclusive?
Usually not. Licenses are typically non-exclusive, so you keep the option to license to more than one buyer.
Does this work for a business that has closed or been sold?
It can. The question is whether you still hold the data and the rights to license it. We will check that first.
What is my data worth?
We do not state prices or promise payouts. Value depends on the data, the rights, and the buyer. We can talk through your situation on a call.
Did we miss your question?
Send a short note. We reply with plain next steps within two business days.
